Chanel made me do it

Located at the north end of Battery Park City, the Nelson A. Rockefeller Park is very charming with its great lawns and its playground covered with fascinating little bronze creatures from The Real World, an art piece from Tom Otterness. The park offers a great view of New Jersey and it’s the perfect place for a picnic and sunset watching ! You also get a glimpse of One World Trade Center !!

A tee-shirt does not need to scream casual !!! It is much easier than you think to dress it up ! All you need to do is pair it with one non casual item ! Keep it simple as you want to look effortlessly casual chic ! That is why only one dressed up item is sufficient ! Think of heels when wearing a tee with jeans or a skirt when you want to wear flats, like in this look ! While the peplum skirt is very chic and classic, the tee and loafers bring it down a notch ! The perfect balance between feminine, effortless, casual and elegant. I like pairing tees with pencil skirts to create a bigger contrast but any skirt would do ! I am not really a tee-shirt kind of girl so all the tees I own have a little something special like this Chanel one or this Barbie one (seen here). But that is more a matter of preference !! Any tees, any skirts, any flats ! Just keep in mind that you want to dress up the tee and dress down the skirt ! As I mentioned here, I love pairing more boyish looking shoes with dresses or skirts !!! It adds so much contrast while still looking feminine !! These shinny loafers are everything you want in a sneaker !!! Pointy toe, sparkles and as white as snow !!!! I am so in love, you have no idea !!!

What you want is to create a contrast between the casual of the tee and the chic of either the heels or the skirt ! Just remember to keep it simple ! Less is more ! ♥
