Falling for pastels

It was a hectic weekend but had so much fun meeting new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones !!! Even had the chance to meet a few extremely talented bloggers who made their names into the blogosphere, which by the way, are even more gorgeous in person, down to earth and super nice !!! It is so lovely to chat about nothing and everything with awe-inspiring bloggers ! Fashion Week isn’t over yet as I still have another showcase and a rooftop party to attend ! In these past few days, I went to amazing events and I am so grateful for having been invited ! Last night, I attended the Essie and Seventeen Magazine event where I had the chance to preview the Essie fall collection !! A mix of 70s & rock’n’roll, the colours are electric, deep yet flashy ! I then made it to The Designer Whisperer Launch party where I discovered upcoming designers. There are so many talented people out there, it is always a pleasure to see their work and meet them !! They say NYFW is the best week of the year for those in the fashion industry and I now feel it, live it and truly understand it !! It baffles me the number of parties and or fashion shows one can attend in one week !!!!

Last Friday, I was invited to the Diana Couture Fashion Show. I was sitting among all the photographers and journalists; definitely the best seats ever !! And the collection was spectacular ! Wild animal inspired, it was bold, sexy and portrayed strong and powerful women !

Living in NYC has been blissful thus far !! And being a blogger in a city like New York is even more of a dream coming true !!! I love discovering new places to shoot and this little garden is one of my newest finds. Jefferson Market Garden is a tiny oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle !!

Now for a more day to day look, I’ve put together this romantic, casual with a twist outfit ! I know Fall is just around the corner, which means more earthy colours, but why not enjoy those last warm days by wearing pastels !! These dusty pink culottes are so comfortable and I can already see them being on a high rotation this early Fall ! I usually wear fitted tops with oversized bottoms, but since the top is open at the front, I thought they paired nicely ! It creates a flowy figure and reveals just enough skin !! I’ve worn this top a few times already and can see a lot more usage for it !! For when the days gets colder, why not wear it over a long sleeve dress, or a button up shirt. I can also think of layering a crop knit over it or a long trench coat. I love versatile pieces that you can bring from summer to autumn to even winter !

Thank you for reading and following !! It means a lot to me ! ♥
