Last summer vibes

Discovering the city for new locations to shoot is always so much fun !! The other day, as I was walking east on Canal Street to meet a friend, I came across Manhattan Bridge (not that I’ve never seen it before but I’m rarely in that area and tend to just forget about stuff !!!) and just knew I had to have a shoot here !!! In my opinion, the suspension bridge is, in many ways, prettier than the Brooklyn Bridge !! The grand entrance on the Manhattan side is spectacular with its arch and colonnade. Now considered as a landmark, the Manhattan Bridge has been featured in various movies and for a reason !!! I just can’t get over how majestic the entrance looks !!

Soon, it will be impossible to go out without a coat, but before then, I will enjoy every little bit and piece of what’s leftover from summer !!! This pleated skirt is definitely more of a summer staple but I can totally see myself wearing it in winter with sheer thighs and a furry coat ! I love the asymmetric hem and the ruffle at the waist. It makes it fun and adds character, making it a unique statement piece. Here, I kept it simple and chic with a black mesh button up shirt to focus on the skirt, but I also paired it with an electric blue sporty sweater before ! It gave the skirt a more casual, funky vibe ! It all depends on how you feel ! To match the purpleish/blueish from the skirt, I opted for my blue suede bucket bag !! It adds a pop of colour without being gaudy and the suede creates a nice contrast with the light woven fabric of the skirt ! For the final touch, throw on some cat-eye sunnies to look elegant yet mysterious !

How do you feel today ?! More chic or more casual ?! ♥
